How this quiz works

This isn't a random personality test. Your 8 answers are matched against the same neighborhood database that powers the whole site: real rent ranges for 20 São Paulo neighborhoods (short-term nightly rates from R$70 in República to R$800 in Jardins; monthly rents from R$1,200 to R$15,000), transport access, safety perception, nightlife density and family infrastructure. Each answer adds or removes points from each neighborhood, and the winner becomes the anchor of your personalized guide.

Two honest caveats. First, the quiz optimizes for visitors and newcomers — if you've lived in SP for years, you already know your tribe. Second, no algorithm replaces walking a neighborhood at 10pm: use the result as a shortlist of two or three areas, then read the full guides and, if you can, spend one night in each before signing anything.

The itinerary and accommodation suggestions in your result follow the same logic as our editorial guides — written and reviewed by the AluguelSP team, who live in and move around this city every day. If your result doesn't feel right, retake the quiz changing the answers you hesitated on: the margin between your top neighborhoods is often small, and seeing the runner-up may be exactly the comparison you need.
